From the LeeVees hit (cheesy) Hanukkah Song
Is it with a C or H?
I am confused.
What about those N’s or K’s,
Do you use one or two?
I remember when I was
back in Elementary School,
a Spanish kid told me
that it starts with a silent J.
But Julio was wrong,
or maybe he was right.
Can someone decide?
Make up your mind.
Tried spell check,
and Webster’s.
Is there an answer to my question?
Can someone, please help me?
Just tell me, how do you spell Channukkahh?
I watching a spelling bee
on ESPN2.
And these kids were spelling words
that don’t come naturally to me or you.
Like oligarchy, solipsism, bouillabaisse, epistemology, insouciant,
onomatopoeia, syllogism, perspicacious, hypothalamus.
There are some other ones,
hot-dogs,
no,
antidisestablishmentarianism.
Yeah, I liked hotdog.
Well I bet they would be stumped,
if they had to spell Channukkahh.
No one can tell.
We don’t mean to dwell,
but how do you spell…
Tried spell check,
and Webster’s…
is there an answer to this question?
Can someone, please tell me,
how do you spell?
Asked teachers,
asked family,
nobody ever knows the answer.
Can someone, please help me,
just tell me how do you spell Channukkahh?
No one can tell.
We don’t mean to dwell,
but how do you spell…
Tried spell check,
and Webster’s…
is there an answer to my question?
Can somebody, please tell me,
how do you spell?
Asked teachers,
asked family,
but nobody ever knows the answer.
Can someone, anyone, somebody,
how do you spell Channukkahh?!?
Easy: it’s spelled חנוכה!

Personally, I go with Chanukah. Ever seen the Hebrew Hammer? Happy Chah-NOO-Kah Day. It’s so stupid…but still I laugh.
