When life throws you lemons…

Posted on: June 17, 2011

…make lemonade.

Today I was thrown 1 million lemons and let’s just say I hope that in a few weeks I’ll have more lemonade than I know what to do with.

I won’t get into it, but I have so many references in my head.  One, specifically from my all-time favorite musical, “The Sound of Music” with the perfection of Julie Andrews as Fraulein Maria.  I don’t actually remember what Maria was musing about…I think she and the Mother were discussing what to do with her.  At any rate, Maria reminds herself that whenever God shuts a door he opens a window some where.  While I’m scooping up the lemons, looking for a jug to make gallons of lemonade, I’m also keeping an eye open for that window.

Enjoyed finding your blog. I hope you’re able to enjoy the lemonade soon. I found a small typo on your list of Radical Jewish Organizations. The first group is Be’chol Lashon not “Lason.” Thanks for the thoughtful writing. –R.

Thanks for reading and for the Be’chol Lashon edit 🙂

Me too… and I think I can feel the breeze coming through 🙂 So happy to have found your blog.

Thanks for the love and welcome to BGJ, Jena! I’m still scooping up the lemons but we’ll see what comes.

I saw an earlier post but it seems to have been taken down. I thought jobs couldn’t discriminate based on religion? Anyway, *hugs*. Hang in there

There was and I removed it to try to be more professional 🙂
